Logo Redesign & Hand-Painted Sign
The Avon Lake Boat Club was established way back in 1946 and since then they've grown to include many kayakers along with motor-boats so they wanted to update their logo to represent and be inclusive of all their members while still paying homage to the original design (second image). The client had a pretty good idea of what they wanted in mind already so I provided a few slight variations for the initial concepts and I suggested the idea of incorporating a life preserver into the design which they loved so we ran with it. A few months later, they asked if I could hand paint a steel exterior sign of the logo so I used my projector for the outline and applied multiple coats and a heavy duty top coat to shield it from the elements.
